The heads of the Chinese and Iranian diplomatic missions met in Vienna to review the status of the JCPOA talks.

Following the consultations in Vienna, a bilateral meeting was held on Friday between the heads of the Chinese and Iranian delegations.

At the meeting, which was held at the residence of Abbas Araghchi, the head of the Iranian negotiating team, the two sides discussed the status of the talks and some important issues.

In recent days, consultations between the Iranian and P4+1 delegations have continued continuously at various levels and formats.

In addition, meetings were held between Seyed Abbas Araghchi and Enrique Mora, Deputy Foreign Minister of the European Union, and several meetings of the nuclear working group, as well as several expert meetings of Iran and three European countries in the field of lifting sanctions.

Consultations and meetings between the Iranian delegations and the P4+1 countries (France, Russia, China, Britain, and Germany) continue in the form of trilateral working groups and bilateral and multilateral meetings at various levels in Vienna.

The Islamic Republic of Iran, based on a resolution of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, suspended the voluntary implementation of the Additional Protocol due to unilateral US sanctions against Iran and the inaction of the European P4+1 member states in fulfilling their obligations to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

The Islamic Republic of Iran has stated that it will return to its commitments when the United States lifts all anti-Iranian sanctions in practice and that the lifting of sanctions is verified by Iran.
