If fulfilling JCPOA failed, Iran will stop implementation of additional protocol; Iran's MP
The spokesman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Iran's parliament said if Iran's sanctions are not lifted, Iran will stop implementing the Additional Protocol in the next step.
In an interview Abolfazl Amouee said according to Article 6 of the Law on 'Strategic Action for Lifting of Sanctions', if the P4+1 countries do not fulfill their obligations, the voluntary implementation of the Additional Protocol shall cease two months after the law is enforced.
"Iran's peaceful nuclear activities are currently the most inspected, such that more than 23 percent of all International Atomic Energy Agency inspections have carried out for Iran," Amouee said.
He noted that the implementation of the Strategic Action Plan for Lifting Sanctions has the strong support of members of the Islamic Consultative Assembly. In the first step, 20% uranium enrichment is on the agenda.
The spokesman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Iran's parliament reiterated that if the sanctions remain and Iran has problems with its foreign trade, inspections under the Additional Protocol will be suspended.
