Iran, trying to make, buy vaccine, but US sabotage it: Rouhani
Iran's president said the country is seeking to develop and purchase the COVID vaccine, but it was announced that the US Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control should allow it.
Hassan Rouhani expressed satisfaction over not having a red zone in the country, saying that almost no orange zone remains and most of the country is in the yellow area, which needs to be maintained.
At a meeting of the National Task Force for Fighting Coronavirus, the president stated that the first issue is to keep the situation under control.
"We are witnessing the mutation of this virus in other countries, especially in the UK, which has passed through the UK, and we need to be more careful," he noted.
Regarding the COVID vaccine, he said the rude anti-Iranian media distort the facts. they have long been saying that everyone in the world is vaccinated and that Iran has no money or cannot pay; but people should pay attention to the fact that from the very first days, one of the measures was to make and buy vaccine.
He noted that all the propaganda that was done is false and inaccurate. Surely Iran is looking to make a vaccine and at the same time looking to buy an approved vaccine. Surely the Americans have sabotaged this; Evil and vicious activity are everywhere on the Americans' part. Iran prepared the money, but the World Health Organization (WHO) said that the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) should allow it.
Rouhani pointed out that vaccine injection priorities are clear and those with underlying disease and treatment staff are the priorities.
