US, Saudi, Israeli regimes struggling sanctions not lifted against Iran
Iran's Foreign Minister said the US, Saudi, and Israeli regimes are struggling to create tensions so that ruin the conditions fostered to lift the sanctions imposed on Iran.
On his Instagram page on Monday, Mohammad Javad Zarif described the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's hasty visits to the West Asian region, his trilateral meeting in Saudi Arabia, and the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's statements as an attempt to create tension and destroy the space created for the lifting of sanctions on Iran.
Zarif pointed to the assassination of the Iranian prominent defense and nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh and said that simultaneously with the terrorist attack, the psychological war guided by the devilish West-Arab-Hebrew axis began to turmoil space.
Zarif noted that Pompeo's hasty trips to the region, along with his trilateral meeting in Saudi Arabia and Netanyahu's statements all illustrate the conspiracy, which unfortunately culminated in a cowardly terrorist act on Friday and the martyrdom of a prominent Iranian scholar.
Top Iranian nuclear and defense scientist Martyr Mohsen Fakhrizadeh was targeted on Friday in a multi-pronged attack involving at least one explosion and small fire by a number of assailants in Absard city of Damavand County, Tehran province.
The assassination of Fakhrizadeh followed widespread international reactions. Already, many countries including Russia, Syria, Swiss, Venezuela, South Africa, Turkey, Qatar, Kuwait, Lebanon, Jordan, and Afghanistan have condemned the terrorist incident.
