A 6.1 magnitude earthquake hits Mashhad in Iran, 2 has been reported dead.

At 10:30 am this morning, 6.1 magnitude earthquake hits Mashhad, Iran’s second largest city at the depth of 13 km.

The earthquake was located at Sang Sefid, in Khorasan Razavi.

"Morteza Salimi", Head of Iran’s Relief and Rescue Organization told that the aid teams have been dispatched to the areas hit by the earthquake.

Latest reports from Emergency services stating that 17 have been injured and 2 are reported to be dead. It has been said that 4 villages have been partially or completely destructed.
