The Islamic Republic of Iran's Oil Minister Bijan Zanganeh called Iraqi Oil Minister Ehsan Abdul Jabbar on Monday to emphasize the development of relations between the two countries in the field of oil cooperation.

In this regard, Iraqi Oil Minister Abdul Jabbar noted that Baghdad has exported 2.8 million barrels of oil per day this month added, " It is in Iraq's interest to abide by to OPEC Plus agreement to reduce production."

"The Iraqi Kurdistan Region has also been notified to help to implement the oil production reduction quota," Iraqi side said.

In an interview with the Iraqi news channel of al-Iraqiya, Iran's ambassador to Baghdad Iraj Masjedi said his country supports the government of the Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kazemi, which has been formed based on the will of the Iraq nation.

Over the past month since the formation of the Iraqi new government, Masjedi has met with the new prime minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, interior, defense, transportation, labor, and social affairs, finance, and higher education ministers to help strengthen Iran and Iraq ties.
