Iran Holds 650 Training Courses for Agricultural Cooperatives' Stakeholders: Deputy Minister

Aiming to empower the members of the rural and agricultural cooperatives, the Central Organization for Rural Cooperatives of Iran (CORC) is going to hold more than 650 special training courses.

Hossein Shirzad, who is also the CEO of CORC, said that "Scientific economy", known as the intangible asset of the enterprises, consists of more than 90% of their assets nowadays. "Consisting of technology, human resource, and staffs' learning power, this intangible asset should be boosted among the agricultural cooperatives stakeholders through education", he added.

"The survival code of any enterprise in the extremely current competitive business world is having efficient and skillful staff and managers. Boosting the productivity of the agricultural and rural cooperatives requires educating the staff as well", Shirzad added.

Referring to the Legal Articles of the Cooperatives Statute on the necessity of staff training, the official stated that according to the Statute training of technical and professional skills is of the governing duties of CORC. To this end, the department of development and training has been designing and holding the new training courses based on the revised need assessment annually.  

"To protect the social and economic capital of the rural and agricultural cooperatives accompanied by improving the know-how of their stakeholders, CORC has published the training courses in an educational calendar. Including different types of training courses, this calendar provides different educational plans for rural women, farmers, managers, and staff of the rural and agricultural cooperatives and unions in different levels", the official ended.
