Iraq's large trade delegation departs for Tehran
A large trade delegation from the Iraqi private sector departed for Tehran Monday night for talks on expansion of cooperation with Iranian private sector, Iran's commercial attaché in Baghdad Nasser Behzad said.
The 22-member delegation comprising heads of Iraqi chambers of commerce and some prominent businessmen trading in plastic products, electric equipment and agricultural machinery is headed by Ja'far al-Hamdani, chief of commerce chambers of Iraq, Behzad said.
The Iranian official said the private sectors of Iran and Iraq are determined to facilitate and expand mutual cooperation and raise the two countries' trade exchanges.
The trade exchanges between Iran and Iraq in 2017 amounted to 13.21 billion dollars.
