Iran, South Africa consider facilitating visa issuance
Iran and South Africa expert meeting was held here on Wednesday to consider economic and transport issues as well as facilitating visa issuance between the two countries.
The talks were held within the framework of four expert groups in different fields of economic, trade and finance.
The meeting was inaugurated by assistant director general for Asia and the Middle East Department of South Africa Foreign Ministry Anil Sooklal and Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran for Economic Affairs Gholamreza Ansari.
The negotiations are within the framework of bilateral economic cooperation and are to concentrate on the issues like facilitating visa issuance for both countries' citizens, especially businessmen, issues related to transport, financial supports in direction of economic contracts.
Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif arrived in Pretoria on Tuesday to hold talks with South African president and foreign minister on Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and mutual cooperation.
Zarif is to depart for Tehran on Wednesday evening following his meetings.
