Iran Persian Gulf oil production to increase: IOOC chief
After installing A20 and A21 platforms of Abouzar Field and starting oil drilling operation, the oil production in this offshore oil field will increase to 12,000 barrels per day, director general of Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC) said.
“The operation to install these two platforms was completed on January 30,” Hamid Bourd said.
“The oil produced in A20 platform is transferred to AC platform in Abouzar Production Complex and that of A21 platform is transferred to AA platform,” he added.
Abouzar Oil Field is located 76 kilometers, southwest of Kharg Island in the Persian Gulf.
The daily production of this field is 140,000 barrels of oil from near 90 wells.
The oil is transferred to Kharg Island Oil Terminal through a 24-inch pipeline.
The Iranian Offshore Oil Company is a subsidiary of the National Iranian Oil Company. IOOC, an independent legal entity, is based in Tehran and operates in southern Iran.
