A New Production Line by IKCO-Peugeot's JV
IKCO and Peugeot are establishing production line of Peugeot 301 based on the contract between the two car manufacturers, the Iran-Khodro car manufacturing company's public relations department said.
In an address to reporters on the sidelines of Second International Tehran Auto Show 2017, Head of IKCO-Peugeot Joint Venture (IKAP) Mohammad Reza Motamed said the project to establish the production line for Peugeot 301 is underway as scheduled within the contract signed in 2016.
Peugeot 2008 and 508 models have been put on display in Tehran Auto Show 2017.
Another concept car in the show from Peugeot named Exalt also was warmly welcomed by the visitors.
The products are showcased in IKAP’s booth in Hall 5 of Tehran Auto Show.
The mass production of Peugeot 2008 has begun months ago and it is expected the first batch of the vehicle to be handed over to its customers within the next few months.
IKAP is a 50-50 joint venture company based in Tehran. The company is set to jointly produce the latest models of Peugeot for Iran’s and regional markets.
