1st female top manager for Iran Air

A woman has for the first time ever been promoted as head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Line.
Minister of Roads and Urban Development Abbas Akhoundi in a decree assigned Farzaneh Sharafbafi to the post.
The minister mandated Sharafbafi to structurally reform the Islamic Republic Airliner (Iran Air) so that it would be competitive globally and regionally.
She will also have the missions to upgrade safety of the airline, and providing women with job opportunities.
Sharafbafi is 44 years old and holds PhD in aerospace from Sharif University of Technology.
