Iran abundant with special opportunities for German companies
German Deputy Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy said that German companies' presence in Iran had been aimed at improving the two countries' foreign economies and boosting mutual trade cooperation.
'Iran's government seeks promoting its economic status and renovation of its ports and commercial fleets, so the country is abundant with special opportunities for German companies,' said Anne Jacobs-Schleithoff in the German investors' meeting in Tehran on Saturday.
She pointed to gas and oil infrastructure and transportation as two Iranian sectors which need renovation, and expressed the hope that trade mission of the German delegation in Iran would usher in mutual cooperation in port and shipbuilding industry and it would be accomplished successfully.
The 25-member delegation is composed of the deputy minister plus managers of the port and shipbuilding companies who were presented with Caspian port's capacities in Anzali free zone during the meeting held by Iran-Germany joint chamber of commerce.
Free transit of capitals, foreign investment possibility up to 100 percent, guaranteed foreign and profit investments, 20-year tax exemption, Customs duty exemption for raw material, visa-free travel for foreigners through official crossings and entrances, and sale and rent of the land to non-Iranian investors are among numerous legal advantages of Anzali trade-industrial free zone.
