Iran purchases 17 new aircrafts; Deputy Road Ministe tells ILNA
Iran's Deputy Road Minister announced the country's contracts for purchasing new aircrafts. .
17 new Airbus and ATR airlines will enter Iranian airline fleet until the end of the year, "Asghar Fakhrieh Kashan", Iran’s Deputy Road and Urban Development Minister in international affairs announced.
In his interview with ILNA, Fakhrieh Kashan, referring to signing the contract for purchasing 20 ATR Aircrafts, worth 400 million dollar, added: "2 ATR aircrafts from Italian-French plane maker, will join Iran Air airline fleet within 15 days."
Answering questions regarding the number of planes that would add to the Iranian airline fleet, he emphasized: "Up until the month of Azar, about 9 other aircrafts would delivered to Iran Air which sums up the total number of airplanes entering Iran Air fleet to 13."
According to the top Road and Urban Development official, 4 other new Airbuses would deliver to the country by the end of the year.
"Prepayments worth around 80 million dollars" he underlined.
"Regardless of what conditions we would get into, they promised to provide full after-sales services" Kashan stressed.
