Increasing subsidies is only benefiting rich; Mahjoob tells ILNA
Head of Parliament's Labor Fraction, called campaign promises for boosting cash subsidies pupulistic.
Believing that presidential race is being heat up by promises regarding boosting cash subsidies (cash handouts), “Alireza Mahjoob”, Secretary General of Iran’s Worker’s House, called such approaches competitions toward looting the nation’s assets.
He further told that such campaign promises are populistic and expressed concern over “irreversible consequences” of these acts.
Head of Parliament Labor Fraction emphasized that such policies are going to only result in further rise in inflation and heightening pressure on poverty stricken communities of the society.
Adding that only a few have benefited from multiplying exchange rates told that their performance is aiming at increasing money supplies or using benefits of subsidies to further dynamising foreign goods market.
