Citroen's CEO said that the company had signed contracts with Iran in the framework of international standards but welcomes the limitation of presence of competitors as the result of pressure of US.

“Linda Jackson”, Citroën CEO, in an interview with ILNA about the cooperation between the company and Saipa, said that there is no problem for any collaboration and we're waiting for the transfer of the shares and exchange of French experts for installation of the platforms and Iranian experts for training.

“The platform that would be installed in Kashan, is one of the most modern (up-to-date) car production lines in the world and all the current world standards would be applied here because our aim is to reach the market in the region. We haven't invested just for Iranian market but we wanted to be able to access Middle Eastern and African markets as well.” she added.

Regarding the rumors about the production of C4 in this plant she told that there are plans for producing 3 models in Kashan, but certainly such production would not include C4.

Considering “Donald Trump”, US president's claims, about Iran and its effects on collaboration between Peugeot and Tehran, she said that our contraction have been signed under international law and we don't have a problem with them but if American pressure would let our competitors out, we definitely welcome them. And since we have made huge investments in Iran, I think at the end the disputes are in our interest.
