Iran to take part in marine oil projects in Europe, Africa
Managing Director of Iran Offshore Engineering and Construction Company (IOEC) Abolqassem Rahmani said Iran eyes participation in marine oil projects in Europe and Africa.
He said Iran is planning to cooperate with foreign companies by exporting technical and engineering services and contributing in joint projects outside the country.
He said thanks to the fact that Iran possesses unrivaled equipment and experiences in marine oil and offshore projects in the region, the country is quite capable of exporting such services to other countries.
He said the IOEC has already signed agreements with a Dutch company to exchange equipment in projects if needed.
According to the official, the company has also talked to a number of international companies for carrying out projects in the Black Sea and Nigeria in Europe and Africa respectively.
However, he noted, the agreements are yet to be finalized.
Rahmani referred to a marine pipeline for transfer of gas in Europe as one of the programs to be followed by his company in 2017.
As for the project in Africa, he said it is about planting 500 kms of oil transfer pipelines in Nigeria.
