Russia’s Rusatom to sign contract for Iran's Bushehr plant
Russia’s Rusatom Service expects to sign Iran’s Bushehr nuclear power plant four-year contract by the end of 2016.
Russia’s Rusatom Service, a subsidiary of the Rosatom atomic energy corporation, expects to sign a four-year contract to service unit 1 of Iran’s Bushehr nuclear power plant by the end of 2016, Rusatom Service Deputy General Director Mikhail Poznyakov said Monday.
"We will sign a new four-year contract at the end of this year," Poznyakov said at a seminar on Russian-French nuclear energy cooperation, adding that Tehran requested Moscow to provide maintenance staff for the unit.
In 2014, Iran and Russia agreed on building two new nuclear reactors on the site of Bushehr, starting fall 2015, Sputnik reported.
