Entrepreneurs, market experts, banking and industry representatives in the Italian northern province of Emilia-Romagna, have expressed readiness to resume trade and enhance cooperation with Iran.

City of Bologna, the provincial capital of Emilia-Romagna Region, on Friday hosted a conference on Friday on joint trade and investment ventures between Iran and the Emilia-Romagna Region.

Presented at the economic event were more than 200 Italian entrepreneurs and businessmen and other economic elites from the region as well as Iran's Ambassador to Rome Jahanbakhsh Mozaffari.

During the conference, Gino Cocchi Director of the international affairs of Emilia Romagna Industrial committee underlined the importance of enhancing ties with Iran.

He predicted that Italy's exports to Iran will increase to reach three billion euros in the next four years.

Pierre Peju deputy president of Emilia-Romagna Bank referring to the banking problems faced by Iran said that everybody should be patient.

We are optimistic about the future, he said.

The Iranian ambassador to Rome for his part said that despite all the problems, the Joint Comprehensive Plan Of Action is being implemented and following the nuclear deal, all the obstacles on Tehran's way to establish ties with the world and especially the west, have been removed.

The present situation is irreversible, Mozaffari said.

The interest of the Italian investors for furthering cooperation with Iran shows that enemies have failed to prevent the execution of the JCPOA, Mozaffari said.
