Iran to stage international rail industry show May 15

Iran is going to stage an international rail industry exhibition from May 15 to 18, said the exhibition's secretary Ali Mohtasham Amiri.
Over 350 Iranian and 110 foreign companies will show off their goods and services on the fairground, he said.
In the meantime, an international conference called Rail-Oil-Port and a specialist convention on Japanese fast-moving trains will be held in Tehran.
According to national plans, by now rail transportation must have comprised 30 percent of Iran's goods transport volume. The number, however, now stands at 11 percent.
