Iran to buy 3 plane models of Boeing
After two days of negotiations, the representatives of the American Boeing Company in a meeting with Iranian airline authorities offered to sell three new passenger plane models to Iran, a senior aviation official announced.
'Two days of intensive negotiations were held between representatives of Boeing Company and Iran's national carrier (Homa) and other airlines on providing logistical support for the airplanes operating in Iran's air fleet in areas of parts, publications and other services as well as flight safety issues,' Secretary of the Iranian Aviation and Space Industries Association (IASIA) Maqsood Asadi Samani told reporters on Monday.
He said during the negotiations, Boeing proposed to sell its new 737, 787 and 777 series to Iran.
He added that the Iranian companies will study Boeing's offer and will make their decisions based on their own and national interests.
Representatives from Boeing visited Tehran last week for talks with Iran Air and other airliners.
