Over 58 million tons of goods were traded in Shahid Rajaie Port, southern Iran, since the beginning of Iranian calendar year, started on March 21, 2015, said Director General of Ports and Navigation of Hormuzgan Province, Ebrahim Idani.

Over 21.670 million tons of non-oil goods have been exported abroad from the port during the said period.

He said 3.636.850 tons of non-oil goods were transited during the same period.

Moreover, 5.610 million tons of oil material were exported abroad from this port, rising by 21 percent comparing to similar period last year.

688.749 tons of all oil products were transited from this port, rising by 29 percent comparing to similar period last year.

According to the Iranian official, 2.168.600 tons of all oil products were transited into the country since beginning of the Iranian calendar year.

3.653 vessels have docked in the port during the period.

The port which lies near Persian Gulf is regarded as one of the largest trade ports in the world.
