Iranian companies can increase the volume of food industry exports: official

The head of the Food Industry Commission of the Chamber of Iran has said that the export of the world's food industry in 2023 amounted to 700 billion dollars, and Iran had a share of 0.3% of this figure.
"The share of food industry in the added value of the industrial sector is about 11% and its export share is 3.7% of the total industrial export," he added.
"The major export items in the world are dairy products, sweets and chocolates, beverages, meat products, and Iranian companies, especially in the form of halal brands, which have many applicants in Muslim and non-Muslim countries, can take advantage of the available opportunities and increase the volume of food industry exports," he noted.
