Tehran refused to give up its strategic resources; the former ambassador of Iran to Turkey
The former ambassador of Iran to Turkey has said that Tehran has always declared that it pays the transit fee, but it does not provide its strategic resources to any country to market in this way.
Firoz Dolatabadi, the former ambassador of Iran to Turkey, told Ilna that Tehran has always declared that it pays the transit fee, but it does not provide its strategic resources to any country to market in this way.
Regarding Russia's attempt to make Turkey the gas hub of the region, he stated that this plan is not feasible and even if it is realized, it is a temporary measure, because no country is willing to hand over its geopolitical superiority, even in the gas industry, to another component.
"Turkey also had negotiations with Iran to receive the gas, and the problem was that the Turks were considering buying the gas from us and exporting it to Europe themselves, which was not accepted by Iran and it has always declared that it will pay for the transit right, but its strategic resources are not under the authority of any country", he added.
