Transit of goods through Iranian routes to Russia increased: Official
The Secretary of the Iranian Shipping Association has said that transit routes from Iran to Russia have been increased.
Commenting on the impacts of Russia’s situation on the increase of the passage of Indian goods through Iran's transit routes, Masoud Polmeh told ILNA that “All the three countries of Iran, India, and Russia have the will to increase exchanges of goods through the north-south corridor.”
The political and economic delegations of the three countries had good negotiations in this regard during their various trips in the last two months, he added.
He said that we are witnessing an increase in the transfer of goods through Iran's routes despite the many limits.
“Exports and imports from and to Russia and transit through Iran's routes have increased,” he added.
He also said that India has not yet exported a significant volume of goods through Iran's routes to Russia but we are witnessing an increase in transit of goods to and from Russia through Iran’s routes.
