Japan expected to release Iran’s blocked assets: Iranian Official
The Chairman of the Iran-Japan Joint Committee said that the Japanese hope that the JCPOA revival will lead to improvement in the ties between Iran and Japan.
Commenting on the effect of sanctions on Iran and Japan’s joint ventures, Bahram Shakori said in remarks to ILNA that because of the sanctions on Iran, the level of relations between Iran and Japan is about zero.
“The Japanese hope that with the JCPOA revival, these relations improve,” he added.
He also spoke about Iran’s assets that have been blocked in Japan and said that no details on this issue have been revealed.
He said that it seems that some solutions have been reached on the blocked assets issue but no details were available on the issue.
With the green light that America has given, South Korea and Japan were willing to give Iran’s money back, he added.
