Switzerland becomes Iran’s first European trading partner: Official
The Chairman of the Iran-Switzerland Joint Chamber of Commerce has said that as in the past, Switzerland is our strategic partner and it isn’t just for medicine and medical equipment but for the important role of Swiss companies in importing and producing in Iran.
Sharif Nezam Mafi said in an exclusive interview with ILNA that Switzerland has turned into Iran’s first European trading partner.
Describing the important role of Swiss companies in importing and producing in Iran, he noted that the world's largest grain companies are located in Switzerland and their trade level with Iran was very high last year.
As regards the future trade exchanges between Iran and Switzerland, he said that everything depends on the JCPOA.
Even if the Iran deal is revived for a short time it will bring economical booms for Iran, he said, adding that “because all of our blocked assets would be released and it will be a big help for our industrial infrastructures.”
