Iran has every right to regain its share in oil markets: ex-official
“Certainly, some don’t want energy suppliers such as Iran or Venezuela, which have large reserves of oil and gas, to once again play a role as the world’s important oil suppliers,” the former Director General of OPEC Affairs at the Iranian Petroleum Ministry said.
Javad Yarjani said in an exclusive interview with ILNA that what the world did with Russia’s oil has never been the same as the way Iran treated during the Obama period which drove Iran’s oil exports to zero.
He said that certainly, some don’t want energy suppliers such as Iran or Venezuela, which have large reserves of oil and gas, to once again play a role as the world’s important oil suppliers.
“Because of our history of exporting oil to Europe, we have to regain the right and share that we had in the markets but we were deprived of", he added.
