Passenger line between Iran and Qatar ports to be launched in Eid al-Fitr: Official
Director General of Maritime Affairs of the Ports Organization has said that port and maritime communications in the passenger sector are not only about the world cup duration.
Hassan Abbas-Nejad said in an exclusive interview with ILNA, “Fortunately, we have no problems or shortcomings with respect to maritme fleet for the movement of passengers between the ports of Iran and Qatar and about three thousand seats are ready for passenger movements on this route. This fleet also has the capacity for car movements.”
He said that Ports and maritime communications in the passenger sector will happen between Iran and Qatar beyond the world cup period and these communications are not only limited to the world cup duration.
Responding to a question that from which ports in Iran the passenger movements to Qatar during the world cup will happen, he said, “Kish and Qeshm ports have the possibility of passenger movements to Qatar ports.”
Reiterating that Bushehr and Qatar port passenger lines will be definitely launched, he said that these passenger lines will be launched on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
