Minister hails importance of Iran-Iraq railway

Iranian Minister of Transport and Urban Development Rostam Qasemi said based on the new agreement, Iran and Iraq have determined the exact date for starting the construction of the project.
Speaking in a TV program, he added that a joint venture should also be established within two months.
He stressed the importance of building a bridge between Iran and Iraq.
The Iranian minister noted that the projects need maximum two years and 100-120 million dollars investment.
Qasemi went on to say that launching Iran-Iraq railway will make Iran’s exports to Iraq safer and cheaper.
