Iran's Ahvaz city launches new air routes with Turkey, Kuwait
Managing director of Khuzestan province airports said here on Saturday preparations for re-launching Ahvaz-Istanbul and Ahvaz-Kuwait City air routes are complete and they will start activities within the next couple of days.
Mehdi Razzaz told that the first Ahvaz-Istanbul flight will take off on Thursday, October 4, and that will be a regular Iran Air Tours flight that takes off every Thursday morning from Ahvaz at 8:30.
He said that the same flight will depart Istanbul at 11L45 pm for Ahvaz every week.
Razzaz said that the Ahvaz-Kuwait flights, too, by the Iran Air (HOMA), will begin on Friday, October 5, at 6:50 pm, and continue on the same week day and hour afterwards.
He said that the necessary negotiations on relaunching Ahvaz-Dubai, and Ahvaz-Muscat flights, too, are in process and those regular flights, too, will soon be re-launched.
The flights in question were temporarily terminated following the outspread of COVID-19 pandemic and lack of passengers two years ago.
