Opening of Iran-Turkmenistan border; resumption of trade exchange
Iran’s Border Guard Commander Brigadier Ahmad Ali Goudarzi said on Saturday that the border between the country and Turkmenistan has opened and issuance of trade visas from border stations is underway.
Though round-the-clock efforts, the border guards are facilitating services, Goudarzi said, according to the Saturday report by website of the Police.
Despite all threats around Iran, the country enjoys good security in borders, the commander noted.
He went on to say that Iran has border with 15 neighboring states and enjoys stable and protected security in its borders, the southeastern crossings in particular.
Presence of foreigners and anti-Revolution groups is Islamic Republic of Iran's red line, he said adding that the border guards protect the country powerfully.
Interactions with neighboring countries are good and trade exchanges are underway because no border crossing is closed, he underlined.
About Iran-Turkmenistan relations, it is good to say that Iranian and Turkmen presidents have agreed to solve gas dispute; the agreement was reached between the two countries on the sidelines of the latest Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Tajikistan.
Analysts have described such an agreement as successful economic diplomacy of the new Iranian government which took office in August.
According to IRNA, the agreement has created a bright future not only for gas supply to the northern Iranian provinces but also for boost in economic exchange.
