Iran imports 3.2 million doses of Sinopharm COVID vaccine
Iran has imported about 3.2 million doses of the Sinopharm COVID vaccine on Saturday morning.
On the sidelines of the unloading of the consignment at Imam Khomeini Airport, the Deputy Head of Customs Administration of Iran Mehrdad Jamal Arvanaghi stated: "This is the 50th shipment of imported COVID vaccines; in the previous 49 shipments, about 47 million doses of vaccine were imported to Iran."
He noted that about 45% of all COVID vaccines were imported this month and 55% in the last 7 months.
He pointed out that the Iranian Red Crescent Society would import another 5 million doses in the next two days.
"According to the officials of the Health Ministry, several million more doses will be imported by the end of the month," he added.
